PIERRE BONNARD (French, 1867-1947), dated 1930. Born in 1867 in France, Bonnard first exhibited in 1896. His simplicity of subject matter and ability to evoke an intimate pensive feeling has made Bonnard’s work a joy to collect.

This beautiful etching is from the series “La Vie de Sainte Monique” (1930) and is a classic example of Bonnard’s ability to affect the entire mood of the observer.
